Hybred Events provided Event Safety Consultancy and Event Production Management for the Brighton 10K from 2012 to 2018, supporting the event through a period of growth and transformation.
Established in 1984 the Brighton 10K is one of the oldest races in the south east and is run over a fast and flat city route.
The 2014 event marked a key milestone, as runners took to the city roads for the first time, having previously raced along Brighton’s iconic promenade requiring new planning approaches to traffic management, stewarding, and crowd safety.
Our role included:
- Developing the Event Management Plan
- Creating a comprehensive Event Safety Plan
- Producing detailed Risk Assessments
- Overseeing Event Production and logistics
- Providing crowd management advice
- Delivering on-the-day production and safety management
Through close collaboration with organisers, the local authority, and emergency services, we ensured the Brighton 10K was delivered safely, efficiently, and with the high standards expected of one of the city’s most popular running events.
